After qualifying as a certified public accountant and auditor in 2000, Chris joined PwC.  He started his career with the Malta office and later worked in a number of offices in the network till 2010.  Most of his time was spent in the audit practice at PwC Luxembourg. During this time, he was also involved in significant capital markets and transactional assignments.

In 2010, Chris joined Alter Domus to set up the office in Malta.  The office grew rapidly and now serves a number of a reputable international clients.  The office currently employs over 200 professionals.  In his 13 year tenure at Alter Domus, Chris also had the opportunity to lead various businesses and initiatives within the Alter Domus Group including the set up of the Alter Domus office in Milan, Italy.

In April 2023, Chris has resigned from his position at Alter Domus to focus on supporting various local and international businesses mainly in the asset management industry.   

In March 2024, Chris has joined Finco as Shareholder and Managing Director.

Chris also sits on a number of boards and investment committees of international family offices, asset management firms and financial institutions.

Paul is an Associate of the London Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Association of UK Certified Accountants. He holds a warrant as a certified public accountant. Paul started his career in Banking joining Barclays Bank International in 1974. After 10 years In banking, he worked for a time as Financial Controller of a group of companies with varied interests. Since 1988, he has been involved on a full-time basis in personal and corporate financial and investment consultancy. He is Managing Director of Finco Treasury Management Limited. He has acted as Director of Mid-Med Bank for 6 years from 1992 to 1997 and acted as Chairman of various sub-Committees of the said bank, including a Computer Project Steering Committee, the Risk Management Committee and the Audit Committee. He was Director of HSBC (Overseas) Bank Ltd. He formed part of a three-man Advisory Committee established to advise the Government of Malta on the transition from the offshore to the onshore financial services regime. He held the positions of Director of Air Malta Plc, Chairman of its Audit Committee and a Member of the Purchasing / Contracts Committees of Air Malta plc and currently holds the position of Director of Marsh Management Malta Ltd.

Arthur graduated as a lawyer at the University of Malta in 1988. As a Commonwealth Scholar, he read International Commercial Law at the University of Toronto. Arthur has been a partner and Director of the Finco Group since 1991. He practices widely in Corporate Law, Financial Services Law, Real Estate and Foreign Investment. Arthur was Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2013.

He is a former Deputy Chairman of the Malta Arbitration Centre and former Director of APS Bank where he chaired the Bank’s Risk Management Committee. Arthur sits on the Board of Directors of a number of companies in the affiliated insurance field. Arthur was also a member of the Commercial Law Department within the Faculty of Laws at the University of Malta and has lectured widely on various aspects of Commercial law.

For a number of years, he was the appointee of the Chamber of Advocates on the national Joint Committee for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism.

Angelo has been a member of the Association of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Malta Institute of Accountants since 1991. He also holds a warrant to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and as an auditor in Malta. Angelo worked for over 10 years in auditing and another 3 years in industry before moving on to join the Finco Trust Group in 1993. Since then, he has been responsible financial accounting, tax and VAT compliance. Angelo also acts as a non-executive director and company secretary to a number of licensed insurance companies in Malta.

James graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta in 2001 having completed a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree. He furthered his studies at the University of Sussex where he read International Commercial Law and was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in 2002. James was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2002 and completed a Certificate in Trust Law and Management in 2004.

James started working at Finco in 2002 with responsibilities in the maritime and corporate sectors. Since 2007 he has been a director and company secretary to companies within the Group. His main areas of specialisation are in corporate, trust and financial services. He heads the financial services licensing business at the firm providing assistance to clients in fund, investment management, insurance and financial institution licensing and is also responsible for corporate and trustee services and ship registration services at the firm together with his colleagues.

James is a member of the Chamber of Advocates, the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and the Malta Maritime Law Association.

Andrea Bonello graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta in 2010 having completed a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree. In 2011, Andrea completed an LL.M in International Maritime Law at the International Maritime Law Institute. Andrea was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2012.

Andrea started working at Finco in 2007 with responsibilities in the maritime, corporate and trust and trustee departments. Since 2011 he has been a director to companies within the group, including Finco Trust Services Limited and Finco Treasury Management Limited, for which companies Andrea also acts as the Compliance Officer.

Ivan joined the Finco group in January 2014 as an Investment Advisor. His experience in the banking and financial services sector encompasses more than 30 years of which 25 years were directly involved in the Financial Markets and Investments field in senior executive positions.

He worked for over 10 years with Mid-Med Bank’s Treasury Department as a foreign exchange dealer and as a manager in the investment of the Bank’s own portfolio on both the local and international markets. For the last 13 years, Ivan was responsible for HSBC Bank Malta Wealth Brokerage, Sales and Trading department providing investment services to retail customers on both local and international markets.
